What is a Mark in Pokemon Sword and Shield?

A Mark is similar to Ribbons in which give your Pokemon a special title when it is active in battle. To acquire them they are rather rare only popping up with chances between 1 in 25 to 1 in 1000. There’s also weather conditions, time of day, and fishing variables thrown in the mix too and can influence the Mark. Some examples include:

  • Dry Mark – “the Parched”
  • Intense Mark – “the Fiesty”
  • Peeved Mark – “the Grumpy”
  • Sleepy-Time Mark – “the Sleepy”
  • Zero Energy Mark – “the Apathetic”

However, with the Mark Charm, the odds drop dramatically, giving you 3 in 25 to 3 in 1000 chances of finding them and that’s why it’s such an essential item to have.
