There are two methods to get Mew in Pokemon Sword and Shield. The first of these is if you own the peripheral Poke Ball Plus which was available when Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pikachu were released. The second method is via Pokemon Home, the Pokemon transfer app that has recently been made available. We’re going to look at both of these methods so you too can get your hands on Mew in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Be in the main menu of your version of Pokemon Sword or Shield and select the Mystery Gift option.
- Prepare to link with your Poke Ball PLus
Click “Take a stroll with Poke Ball Plus”.
- Connect with your Poke Ball Plus
Pick up your Poke Ball Plus accessory and either press the top button or control stick. Your Poke Ball Plus will now connect.
- Acquire your Mew
You will hear a Mew sound and your game will display a message that gives you the option to get Mew. Choose Yes.
- Get Mew into your party
Head over to your storage box and there should be a level one Mew for you to use.
