Custom weapon Blueprints in MW2 and Warzone 2 are pretty much essential to gaining victory in either game, as fine-tuning your guns will allow you to mould them to your specific playstyle. With this new iteration of Call of Duty, however, there are certainly some aspects missing, or stuff that needs tweaking to get the full experience.
Saving custom guns is one of these, and has been lacking since the launch of these new experiences. Thankfully, this has changed with Season One Reloaded. Below, we’ll run you through this new custom Blueprint saving feature so you can be sure those builds that you take ages to create will stay forever.
How to save custom gun Blueprints in MW2 and Warzone 2
Previously, it was an absolute pain to save custom guns in both MW2 and Warzone 2. You could choose a gun, add all your attachments, and it would be there for you next time, but as soon as you accidentally hit that Gunsmith button again or try and take a look at another Blueprint, for example, it would revert back to the bare frame.
Now, with the Season One Reloaded update, Infinity Ward has snuck in a way to save your custom guns so that you can select them with ease next time, and that all-important weapon tuning stays in place.
If you want to save a custom Blueprint in MW2 and Warzone 2, simply craft your gun as normal, and then look to the bottom left of your screen as there should be a ‘Save A Custom Mod’ button. Either click or press the assigned button for that option.
You will now be presented with a naming option. Either enter a specific name for your custom Blueprint or just hit ‘Save Weapon’ and you’ll get a default name for the weapon. Once your new weapon has been saved, you can then either rename, duplicate, or delete it altogether by selecting it within its section.
It’s as simple as that! You can now save custom weapons as much as you want for all the different situations and maps that you get involved in.
