In the expansive universe of Starfield, your choice of spacecraft can define your gameplay experience.

While the Kepler R might be a household name among space explorers, its counterpart, the Kepler S, also offers some fantastic benefits.

This guide aims to detail the steps to acquire the Kepler S in Starfield so you can add yet another ship to your collection.

How To Get Kelper S Starfield Ship

If you want to get your hands on the Kepler S, you’ll need to progress through Starfield’s main story missions until you reach the 11th mission, “High Price to Pay.”

Complete this mission to initiate Walter Stroud’s speech and the “Over Designed” side quest.

Listen to Walter Stroud’s speech, which will kick off the quest. Here, you will have choices that influence whether you’ll get the Kepler S or the Kepler R.

Unlike the Kepler R, which requires a specific set of actions such as selecting the larger budget and passing the persuasion check, the Kepler S can be obtained by not passing the persuasion checks or opting for a smaller budget.

Basically, make choices opposite to those that would get you the Kepler R.

After making your choices, complete any remaining tasks for the “Over Designed” quest. Upon completion, you will be rewarded with the Kepler S.

Why Choose the Kepler S?

The Kepler S may not offer as much as the Kepler R in terms of features, but it is still a competent ship with its own advantages.

It’s excellent for players who might have different preferences and don’t necessarily need all the bells and whistles of the Kepler R.

By following these steps, you’ll find yourself in the pilot seat of a brand new Kepler S, ready to explore the far reaches of the Starfield universe.
