Hogwarts Legacy is quite frankly a huge game, incorporating a plethora of different elements into it. One such aspect is the Vivarium, allowing you to be your very own Beast collector, and tending to them like the protector that you are.
Now, while you’ve likely encountered a bunch of the same Beasts out there, did you know that there were Shiny versions too? We’ll be detailing all we know about these Shiny Beasts in Hogwarts Legacay as well as how to get them for yourself.
What are Shiny Beasts in Hogwarts Legacy?
If you’ve heard of, or seen any Shiny Beasts in Hogwarts Legacy, you might be a little confused as they don’t look the same as their original counterparts.
Akin to the likes of Pokemon, as you encounter Beasts in Hogwarts Legacy, their ‘Shiny’ variations have different colors, making them not only stand out, but also much more desirable.
With this being said, while some Shiny Beast colors can be completely different to their normal version, some are a little more subtle, leaving you questioning whether it is in fact a Shiny.
Luckily, you can check whether it is a Shiny Beast by heading into your Beasts Inventory tab and if it is a Shiny, there will be a star next to its name.
How to get Shiny Beasts Hogwarts Legacy
We’re sure you’re excited by the inclusion of Shiny Beasts, so how do you get them?
Well, unfortunately, there is no definitive way of doing so. Again, similar to that of the older Pokemon games, you’re solely reliant on luck here, making it all down to chance.
What we recommend though is to simply catch as many Beasts as possible by heading to Beast Dens and using the Nab-Sack to secure them for yourself. Do this over and over again, Shiny hunting if you will, and you will net yourself one in no time.
Moreover, to save yourself some time, you can fast travel to the nearest Floo Flame and it will reset the Beast Den, allowing you to re-check it for shinies instantly.
In our experience, these Shiny Beasts do have a relatively decent spawn rate so you won’t have to wait too long until you have one of these rarer variants in your collection.
It is important to note here that you must have both the Nap-Sack and Vivarium after unlocking the Room of Requirement so keep that in mind before even thinking about these Shiny Beasts.
