Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is an action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment that follows the story of Cal Kestis, a young Jedi on a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order. Throughout the game, players unlock various abilities that aid in exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving.
One such ability is the Double Jump, also known as “Jedi Flip” This article will guide you through the process of obtaining the Double Jump ability in Jedi Fallen Order.
How to unlock double jump Jedi Fallen Order
Progress through the main story
To unlock the Jedi Fallen Order Double Jump, you’ll need to follow the game’s main story until you reach the planet Kashyyyk for the second time. The Double Jump is not available early in the game, so focus on completing main story objectives and exploring the planets you visit.
Return to Kashyyyk
After completing the Tomb of Miktrull on the planet Zeffo and obtaining the Force Pull ability, you’ll be prompted to return to Kashyyyk. Proceed to the Mantis, your spaceship, and set course for Kashyyyk. Upon arriving, you’ll find that the Wookiee resistance needs your help once again.
Rescue the Wookiees
Your objective on Kashyyyk will be to free a group of Wookiee prisoners held captive by the Empire. To do this, make your way through the Imperial Refinery, battling Imperial forces and overcoming various obstacles. You’ll eventually reach a large room where the Wookiees are being held in cells. After releasing them and fighting off the Imperial forces, you’ll continue your journey through the level.
Climb the Origin Tree
As you progress through Kashyyyk, you’ll come across the colossal Origin Tree, an ancient and mystical tree that is central to Wookiee culture. Your objective is to climb to the top of the tree, where you’ll find the answers you seek. Along the way, you’ll encounter various platforming challenges, puzzles, and enemies.
Encounter the Shyyyo Bird
As you ascend the Origin Tree, you’ll eventually reach a large branch with a resting spot. A cutscene will play, introducing the Shyyyo Bird, a majestic and rare creature native to Kashyyyk. The bird will carry Cal to a higher point on the tree, and the game will save at a nearby Meditation Point.
Learn the Double Jump ability
From the Meditation Point, continue to climb the Origin Tree. Soon, you’ll reach a point where Cal will be unable to proceed due to a large gap that requires a double jump to cross. At this moment, Cal will have a flashback to his Jedi training with his former master, Jaro Tapal. During this flashback, you’ll learn and practice the Double Jump, also referred to as the “Jedi Flip.”
Once the flashback ends, Cal will be able to perform the Double Jump. To execute the Double Jump, press the jump button (A on Xbox, X on PlayStation, or Space on PC) while Cal is in mid-air. This ability will allow you to reach new heights, cross larger gaps, and access previously unreachable areas.
Obtaining the Double Jump ability in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an essential part of progressing through the game and enhancing Cal’s mobility. By following the main story and overcoming the challenges on Kashyyyk, you’ll unlock this vital skill and be better equipped to face the trials ahead. The Double Jump will not only assist you in exploration but also grant you new ways to engage in combat and solve puzzles, making it a crucial tool in Cal’s quest to rebuild the Jedi Order.
