How to torture in Hogwarts Legacy

hogwarts legacy torture

If you’ve read the Harry Potter books or simply watched the films, you will have an understanding that they’re not short of dark moments. It’s not all chocolate frogs and love potions, there are some real Dark Arts at play, and no, that’s not just limited to Voldemort.

In Hogwarts Legacy, this is similarly the case, but instead of it being words on a page or acted on a screen, you’ll be in full control of a budding wizard. This means you make their decisions, whether to be good, or to go down the evil path, and make your classmates castle-living a nightmare.

Below, we’ll be teaching you how to enable your evil side by providing the steps for getting a bit of Hogwarts Legacy torture going.

Now, if you do have a bit of a dark wizard streak in you, then knowing how to torture in Hogwarts Legacy might be right up your Diagon Alley. However, it isn’t quite clear on how to do this, especially if you’re new to the game.

If you do want to get some Hogwarts Legacy torture going, you’ll need to learn a couple of dark spells. The first of these is Crucio, short for the Cruciatus Curse. This spell can be cast specifically to torture other Hogwarts students and will naturally be your go-to incantation to mess with your enemies.

The second spell that your can somewhat torture with in Hogwarts Legacy is Imperio. This one is a little less gruesome, and simply makes whoever you cast it on to work on your side and fight against other foes. This one is more for use when fighting a bunch of enemies and you want another ally, essentially torturing them into fighting against their own kind.

These spells can be used in the Dark Arts Battle Arena, akin to the third Unforgivable Curse, Avada Kedavra, and will be available regardless as to whether you will have learned them in the main story or not. However, to get access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena, you must have purchased either the Deluxe or Collector’s editions of the game.

For how to get the above spells in the main game, this is still somewhat of a mystery, but what we do know is that they’ll be available no matter which House you choose for your wizard, so don’t worry if you don’t fancy being a Slytherin the whole way through the game.
