Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are certainly a change up for the franchise, allowing players to simply roam the lands of Paldea and almost have free reign on their adventure. One thing that hasn’t changed though is the inclusion of TMs which contain a certain move that can be taught to Pokemon that allow it.
One particularly strong move in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is Blizzard, as not only is it an Ice-type move, but it also has a brilliant overall power. Additionally, if you choose to use Blizzard in a double battle you’ll be attacking both opponents at once which is always handy.
Below, we’ll be detailing how to get Blizzard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet so that you can wield the power of TM143 for yourself!
How to get Blizzard Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (TM143)
So, if you want to get Blizzard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you have two options – craft or find it in Paldea. The latter, however, must be done before you can do the former so knowing the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Blizzard location is essential.
Contrary to most TMs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Blizzard isn’t simply on the ground as an item. Instead, you have to go battle trainers to net it for yourself. In fact, you’re actually going to have to battle at least 10 Trainers within the Glaceado Mountain area.
Once you’ve done this, head to Glaceado Gym Pokemon Center and speak to the Pokemon League Representative in there. After the conversation, you should be given TM143, containing Blizzard, for you to teach to your Pokemon.
If you’re hesitant to teach the TM to a Pokemon after going through all of that to get Blizzard, thanks to the all-new TM crafting feature in the game, you can simply craft Blizzard (TM143) if you have the required materials.
Here is everything you need to be able to craft Blizzard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:
- 12,000 League Points
- 5x Snowrut Fur
- 3 Snover Berries
- 3 Cryogonal Ice
Now, while these materials aren’t so easy to acquire either, it’ll remove any worries of wasting the initial TM that you gruelingly went through to get.
And there you have it, everything you need to know about how to get Blizzard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It does take some doing but it’ll be worth it for such a strong Ice-type move.
